Senior (Interior) Architect

Highlight Design workplace interior

The role

We are looking for a Senior (Interior) Architect who takes ownership of design development, detail coordination, and project delivery. You will work closely with the creative team, clients, consultants, and suppliers to translate calm concepts into precise spaces.

You report directly to the studio leadership and work closely with the internal team. The focus is on clear design thinking, organized documentation, and refined execution across residential, retail, hospitality, and office projects.

What you do

Support the design process

  • develop concepts into coherent interior architecture packages
  • prepare plans, elevations, details, schedules, and presentation material
  • coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and artisans
  • follow materials, finishes, furniture, and lighting through each project phase

Prepare and organize project information

  • maintain accurate drawing sets and technical project documentation
  • track decisions, samples, specifications, and client feedback
  • help structure project timelines, deliverables, and quality control
  • review site information and translate it into reliable design updates

Contribute to the studio culture

  • bring a precise eye for proportion, material, and atmosphere
  • communicate clearly with a calm and proactive attitude
  • share knowledge across the team and support younger designers
  • work independently while staying aligned with the studio language

How you work

You think in systems and details, not in isolated tasks. You understand the logic behind a space and can turn it into drawings, notes, and decisions that move a project forward.

You are comfortable with responsibility, deadlines, and clear communication. You enjoy a thoughtful studio environment where precision, restraint, and collaboration matter.

Who you are

  • bachelor or master in architecture, interior architecture, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in high-end residential, retail, hospitality, or workplace interiors
  • strong technical drawing and detailing skills
  • confident with design coordination, documentation, and project follow-up
  • fluent in English; Dutch or French is an advantage

What distinguishes you

  • structured, reliable, and calm under pressure
  • strong feeling for material, proportion, light, and architectural atmosphere
  • able to switch between overview and detail
  • comfortable working across design, technical, and practical questions

What we offer

  • a growing international studio with an ambitious project portfolio
  • meaningful involvement in refined interior and architectural projects
  • a collaborative team culture with room for initiative
  • a full-time position in Antwerp with competitive conditions
